About us
Care Farms was founded with the belief that rural communities could the more with their resources if they had informations on how to manage their soil, biodiversity and agriculture, and if they had information about possibilities for education, health and social services on farms, from kindergartens and day centres for people with dementia to health promotion, training in techniques for sutainable natural resources management and developing new sources of income.
We work Norway partner Dyrebar Omsorg, local and global partners and many volunteers to act on this belief.
We created Care Farms platform, which is an innovative training company using an online platform with training, technology and high quality products and services, co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Our mission is: To empower local communities and build networking opportunities across the world, to work towards the sustainable use of local resources – with an overriding commintment to education and Care Farms community development.
The Care Farms aims to:
- support and preserve small-scale agriculture
- create high-quality social services, developmend for education, health and social services on farms, from kindergartens and day centres for people with dementia to health promotion
- assure quality through an external certification system
- preserve and create jobs on farms and in the region
- improve the quality of life and compatibility of family and work for rural citizens through improved social infrastructure
- impart knowledge about agriculture as well as sustainable and regional food production
- offering health and social services for citizens in rural areas while increasing opportunities and employment on farms
